After Murudeshwar, we had visited the Apsarakonda falls and were about to set out on the journey back home. We wanted to make sure that we hadn’t missed out on any more places. So we asked our friends on the CoRover Connect App to suggest places to visit, and we found out about a temple not very far from where we were.
It was the Lord Ganesha temple at Idagunji. We reached there to find that there was something unique about the deity. The idol of Lord Ganesha, usually found seated in most temples, was found standing upright here. The story behind how the idol came into existence is very interesting and dates back to the Dwapara Yuga.
Lord Ganesha is said to be the remover of obstacles. So we prayed that our journey back home would be a smooth one, devoid of obstacles. It is a very famous temple and we would have almost missed out on it if not for our fellow tourist on the app.
