In the Uttara Karnataka District, is the beautiful town of Murudeshwar. On the Kanduka hillock of this town is the temple complex, which holds the main attractions of this town.
At the entrance of the temple, are two life-sized elephant statues. The main Gopuram of the Murudeshwara temple, also known as Raja Gopuram is a magnificent structure. It is a 20-storied Gopuram and stands at an approximate height of 237.5 feet. There is also a lift which takes visitors to the top of the Gopuram, which allows them to get a bird’s eye view of the entire location. The entire temple is covered with intricate carvings. The main deity is Sri Mridesha Linga, which is claimed to be an Atma-Linga.

Evening– 3:00 PM – 8:00 PM
Regular Sevas such as Rudrabhishekam and Panchamrita Abhishekam are conducted. Various other sevas are also conducted on special occasions.

By Air: Nearest airport is the Mangalore International Airport which is 165km away. KSRTC operates regular buses to Murudeshwar from Mangalore.
By Rail: The temple is 2km away from the Murudeshwar Railway Station. Trains such as Karwar express and Nethravati express connect Murudeshwar to major cities.
By Road: Regular bus services available from various cities and towns. Well connected by National and State highways.
